I. General Program Information

The ATB 1.0 dual enrollment option is available to eligible students once they are accepted to the CCBC Nursing Program. The ATB 2.0 dual enrollment option is available to eligible students who have completed at least one semester in the CCBC Nursing Program.  Admission is competitive and based on completed courses and grade point average (GPA). Students will be enrolled as degree students at CCBC and 51视频 and begin to take 51视频 courses during the Nursing Program at CCBC. Once the Associate of Science (A.S.) Degree is awarded at CCBC, students must take and pass the nursing licensure exam, the NCLEX-RN, and then continue coursework at 51视频 to complete the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree.

The ATB Program requires year-round attendance, including summer and winter sessions. It is designed so that students can complete the Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in approximately six months after completion of the Associate Degree. Students also have the flexibility to extend the time required to complete the program based on work and personal time constraints.

CCBC courses will be held at the CCBC Essex or Catonsville campuses; 51视频 ( 51视频) courses will be taken at the 51视频 campus or online. Two degrees will be awarded: Associate of Science from CCBC and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from 51视频 (where a minimum of 30 nursing credits will be required from 51视频 to graduate with the BSN).

Advisors will be available from both CCBC and 51视频.

Financial aid will be arranged through the 51视频 Office of Financial Aid.

II. Program Admission Requirements

  • Admission to the CCBC Nursing Program
  • Selective process based on courses completed, GPA, and TEAS score             
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher in CCBC required admission courses
  • Additional required courses (completed by the start of the first nursing course) with a C or better:

         Statistics (CCBC = MATH 153)                                    3-4 credits

III. ATB Program Progression

Students must be successful in all required courses to continue in the ATB option.

Students are expected to complete the sequence of study as outlined in the CCBC - 51视频 ATB curriculum plan.

Students must successfully pass the NCLEX-RN in order to progress to and complete the final 51视频 Term 9.

IV. General Application Procedures

Note:  Students applying to the 51视频 ATB Option must also apply to the CCBC A.S. Degree Nursing Program.

             Admission to the 51视频 option is contingent upon admission to CCBC鈥檚 Nursing Program.

All 51视频 applications, fees and transcripts must be received by 51视频 by the deadline of January 31 for a fall start OR by August 15 for spring start.
